I spent my career in Army Special Forces — 3rd Special Forces Group, JSOC — working as an Intelligence Analyst in some of the most demanding environments the military has. When I was medically retired in April 2025 as a service-connected disabled veteran, I expected the transition to be straightforward. It wasn't.
