American Corporate Partners, known as ACP, addresses one of the most challenging aspects of military transition: translating service experience into civilian career success. Many veterans leaving active duty struggle to communicate their military skills in terms civilian employers understand, or find themselves underemployed in positions that don't match their capabilities. ACP's model connects veterans directly with professionals already working in their target industries, providing an insider's perspective on how to break into competitive fields and advance once there.
The program is specifically designed for post-9/11 veterans and military spouses, regardless of disability rating or service branch. Participants work one-on-one with their assigned mentor, allowing the relationship to adapt to individual schedules and changing priorities. The flexibility is particularly valuable for disabled veterans managing medical appointments, treatment schedules, or family responsibilities alongside their job search.
According to ACP's 2025 data, 48 percent of program participants secured employment during their mentorship year across more than 1,400 companies. The program reports that participants who found new positions saw an average salary increase of more than $40,000 compared to their pre-mentorship earnings. After applying, veterans can expect contact from an ACP associate within 24 hours to schedule an introductory call, during which the organization gathers information about background, experience, and career goals to facilitate mentor matching from their network of over 100 partner companies.
